CONLON/Christie’s International Real Estate hosted a reception and ribbon cutting ceremony last week to celebrate the opening of its first north suburban office.
About 100 people attended the Feb. 26 event at the new CONLON/Christie’s location at 565 Lincoln Ave., near Green Bay Road and Elm Street in Winnetka.
Attendees included Sean J. Conlon, the firm’s co-founder chairman; Benjie Burford, CONLON/Christie’s co-founder CEO; Rick Moeser, a top Christie’s executive; Kieran Conlon, CONLON/Christie's principal; Tim Sheahan, CONLON/Christie's principal; Rick Kasper, CONLON/Christie's principal; Drussy Hernandez, the firm's managing broker; and Judy Pettas, managing director of the North Shore office.
The opening of the North Shore office is the latest push by CONLON/Christie’s to expand outside Chicago, where the brokerage is known for representing buyers and sellers of some of the city’s most expensive homes.
“The North Shore is a good fit for us,” Conlon has said. “We’re a luxury brand and this is an area with a lot of luxury homes. We’re excited about the opportunity to provide buyers and sellers with the same elite level of service that we’ve long delivered to our city clients.”
The Winnetka office is the firm’s second suburban location. CONLON/Christie’s opened a Hinsdale office last year. It now has a total of five offices, including ones in Lincoln Park, Roscoe Village and the West Loop. It plans to reopen a Gold Coast location this spring.
From its newest location, strategically located in the center of Winnetka’s shopping district, CONLON/Christie’s plans to focus on properties in Evanston, Glencoe, Kenilworth, Wilmette, Winnetka and other nearby communities.
"It's a natural progression for us to enter this market," Sheahan says. "We're looking forward to helping buyers and sellers with their real estate needs."
